COL
Display shows COL, and the heater does not run; the spa remains cool.
Cold protection or economy mode indication.
COOL
Display shows COOL, and the heater does not run even though the set temperature is higher.
Cool condition or sensor-based delay
dr
Display shows dr or DR, and the spa stops heating; this may occur after running for a short time.
Dry heater or low water flow detected.
dY
Display shows dY or DY after dr, and the spa may shut down heating.
Persistent dry heater condition or heater protection lockout.
EC
Display shows EC or ECO, and the spa does not heat continuously; the temperature drops between filter cycles.
Economy heating mode enabled.
FLC
The display shows FLC or FL2, the heater is disabled, and it sometimes occurs intermittently.
Flow Switch Closed When It Should Be Open (Flow Switch Stuck or Miswired)
FLO
The display shows FLO or FL1, and the heater will not turn on; sometimes the pump runs continuously.
Insufficient Water Flow or Flow Switch Open
HL
The display shows HL or HLo, and the spa stops heating; the pump may continue to run.
High-Limit Trip Due to Localized Overheating or Sensor Trip
ICE
Display shows ICE or IC, and pumps run periodically even when the spa is not in use.
Freeze protection mode active.
LOC
Display shows LOC or the keypad is unresponsive; buttons do not work.
Keypad lock or panel lockout enabled.
OH
The display shows OH or OHH, and the spa shuts down; pumps may run briefly then stop.
Overheat Condition Detected by High-Limit Sensor
PF
Display shows PF or PFL, and the spa shuts down unexpectedly; it may restart.
Power failure or low line voltage detected.
Prr
Display shows Prr or PR, and the spa may not heat or run normally.
Priming mode or pump prime error.
SE
Display shows SE or SEn, and the spa may behave erratically.
Sensor error or sensor out of sync.
SLP
Display shows SLP or SL, and spa only heats during filter cycles, often cooler than set point.
Sleep mode enabled
Sn1
The control panel displays Sn1, and the spa will not heat or shows an incorrect water temperature.
Primary Water Temperature Sensor (Thermistor) Failure
Sn2
The control panel displays Sn2, and the spa may shut down heating or pumps.
High-Limit Temperature Sensor Failure or Out-of-Range Reading
Sn3
The control panel displays Sn3, and the spa may not heat or may shut down.
Auxiliary or Ambient Temperature Sensor Failure
— —
The display is blank or shows only dashes, and the spa is not responding.
Topside control communication failure.
Symptom
Air bubbles continuously enter spa from jets even when air controls are closed
Air induction leak or faulty air control valve
Symptom
Jets do not work; no water movement when the JETS button is pressed.
Jet pump not running
Symptom
LED lights in the spa do not work or some colors are missing
LED lighting system failure
Symptom
Ozone generator not working, no ozone bubbles visible at designated jet
Ozonator failure or blocked ozone line
Symptom
Slice (gate) valves around pump or heater are leaking or hard to operate
Worn or damaged slice valve seals
Symptom
Spa does not maintain programmed filtration cycles or runs pump at unexpected times
Filtration cycle programming issue
Symptom
Spa heats very slowly or cannot reach the set temperature, especially in cold weather.
Insufficient heating performance or heat loss
Symptom
Spa makes loud banging or knocking noises when pump starts or stops
Water hammer or loose plumbing
Symptom
Spa shell surface around jets or seats feels rough or sandpaper-like
Scale buildup on acrylic or rotomolded shell
Symptom
Spa water has a persistent musty or moldy odor
Biofilm and organic contamination in plumbing
Symptom
Spa water has a strong burning or electrical smell near the equipment bay
Overheating electrical component or wiring
Symptom
Spa water is cloudy or milky and does not clear with filtration
Suspended particles and poor water balance
Symptom
Spa water is foamy when jets are on
Excess surfactants and contaminants in water
Symptom
Spa will not heat; water stays cold even though pumps run and the set temperature is high.
Heater element failure
Symptom
The circulation pump is noisy, rattling, or whining during operation.
Worn circulation pump bearings or cavitation
Symptom
The pump runs, but jets are weak or some seats have little to no pressure.
Restricted jet flow or partially blocked plumbing
Symptom
The spa trips the GFCI breaker immediately or shortly after turning on.
Ground fault or short circuit in spa components
Symptom
Topside control buttons are unresponsive or only some buttons work
Failed or water-damaged topside control panel
