Possible Causes
Blocked or dirty infrared ice sensor, misaligned ice-full lever, failed ice level sensor, reflective object in front of the sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the ice maker before cleaning sensors.
Steps:
- Empty bin: Remove all ice and the ice basket.
- Clean IR sensors: If your Antarctic Star model uses optical sensors, clean both the emitter and receiver windows with a soft, lint-free cloth. Remove any frost or condensation.
- Remove reflective items: Ensure no shiny utensils or reflective surfaces are directly in front of the sensor window.
- Check lever/arm: For models with a mechanical ice-full arm, move it up and down. It should move freely and not be stuck in the "up" (full) position. Clear any ice obstruction.
- Reset: Plug the unit back in and start a cycle. If ICE FULL still shows with an empty bin, the sensor assembly may need replacement.
