ADD
The display shows ADD or a water droplet icon; the unit beeps and stops making ice.
Low Water Level Condition
E1
Ice maker stops and displays E1; the unit powers on but does not start the ice-making cycle.
Ambient Temperature Sensor Failure
E10
E10 displayed; the unit may not respond to button presses or behaves erratically.
Control Panel / Keypad Communication Error
E2
E2 displayed; the ice maker runs briefly then stops, or never starts the ice harvest cycle.
Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Ice Tray Sensor Failure
E3
E3 error; the ice maker stops mid-cycle, often during ice release or harvest.
Ice Full / Bin Level Sensor Fault
E4
E4 displayed; the unit powers on but the compressor and fan do not start.
Compressor Overload / High Temperature Protection
E5
E5 error; the ice maker stops and may beep; water is in the reservoir but there is no ice production.
Water Pump Failure or Water Flow Error
E6
E6 displayed; the unit may start but quickly stops, often with unusual ice size or incomplete cubes.
Ice Thickness Sensor / Probe Error
E7
E7 error; the fan may run but the compressor does not start or stops quickly.
Compressor Current / Overload Detection Error
E8
E8 displayed; the unit may beep and stop, often associated with water supply issues.
Water Level Sensor / Float Switch Error
E9
E9 error; the ice maker stops and may have water remaining in the tray or reservoir.
Drain Pump / Drainage Error (for models with a drain pump or self-clean function)
ICE FULL
The display shows ICE FULL or an ice-full icon even when the bin is empty; the unit will not make ice.
False Ice Bin Full Detection
Symptom
Circulation pump runs loudly, but little or no water flows over the evaporator.
Water Flow Restriction
Symptom
Condenser fan does not run; compressor overheats, or unit shuts down.
Condenser Fan Failure
Symptom
Display and lights work but buttons do not respond or respond intermittently
Keypad / Button Failure
Symptom
Display is dim, flickering, or partially unreadable.
Display Module / Backlight Failure
Symptom
Display shows normal operation, but no water is drawn from an external water line (on plumbed models).
Water Inlet Valve Failure
Symptom
Evaporator plate ices up excessively; thick frost buildup, ice does not release properly
Defrost / Harvest Failure
Symptom
Ice cubes are very small, hollow, or melt quickly in the bin.
Improper Ice Formation / Thin Ice
Symptom
Ice cubes stick together in large clumps in the bin
Ice Clumping / Poor Storage Conditions
Symptom
Ice has a bad taste or odor; cloudy or discolored cubes
Water Quality / Contamination Issue
Symptom
Ice maker exterior becomes unusually hot to the touch.
Overheating Cabinet / Poor Heat Rejection
Symptom
Ice maker runs continuously and never stops even when the bin is full; ice overflows
Ice Full Sensor Not Detecting
Symptom
Ice maker starts a cycle then stops after a few minutes without making ice
Cycle Interruption / Protection Trip
Symptom
Ice maker turns off by itself before the bin is full; intermittent shutdown
Premature Ice Full Detection / Overheat Protection
Symptom
Self-clean or cleaning cycle will not start or stops immediately.
Cleaning Cycle Control Fault
Symptom
The ice maker does not power on at all; no lights or display.
No Power / Dead Unit
Symptom
The ice maker is very noisy during operation; rattling, grinding, or buzzing sounds may be heard.
Mechanical Noise / Vibration Issue
Symptom
The ice maker produces ice very slowly; there is a long time between batches.
Reduced Cooling Efficiency
Symptom
The ice maker runs but produces no ice; the evaporator plate does not get cold.
Loss of Refrigerant / Sealed System Failure
Symptom
The unit powers on but does not make any ice; the compressor and fan never start.
Compressor Circuit Not Engaging
Symptom
Unit displays lights, but compressor and fan cycle on and off rapidly.
Control Board Relay Chatter / Power Regulation Issue
Symptom
Unit emits a burning or electrical smell during operation.
Overheating Electrical Component
Symptom
Unit trips the household breaker or GFCI when turned on
Electrical Short / Ground Fault
Symptom
Water leaking from the bottom or sides of the ice maker onto the counter or floor
External Water Leak
Symptom
Water leaking inside the unit; ice basket fills with water or slushy ice
Internal Water Overflow / Misrouting
