Fisher & Paykel
Reduced Ice Production Rate
The ice maker makes ice very slowly; the bin never fills up.

Possible Causes
Freezer temperature slightly too warm, dirty condenser coils reducing cooling capacity, restricted airflow around the ice compartment, partially clogged water filter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before cleaning coils or moving the appliance.
- Step 1 – Check temperature: Set the freezer to the coldest recommended setting and allow 24 hours. Ice production should increase.
- Step 2 – Clean condenser coils: Pull the Fisher & Paykel unit away from the wall and vacuum dust from the rear or bottom condenser coils using a brush attachment.
- Step 3 – Replace water filter: Install a new genuine Fisher & Paykel water filter if it is older than 6 months.
- Step 4 – Clear vents: Ensure food items are not blocking internal vents near the ice compartment.
If production remains low, a sealed system or control issue may be present and should be checked by a technician.
