Possible Causes

Open-circuit circular heating element, Burnt connection at ring element, Faulty fan-heat relay on control board, Overtemperature cut-out for rear heater tripped

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power. The rear panel inside the cavity may have sharp edges.

  • Access ring element: Remove the internal rear cover inside the oven to expose the circular heating element around the convection fan.
  • Visual check: Look for cracks, bulges, or burn marks on the element.
  • Continuity test: Disconnect the element leads and measure resistance. Infinite resistance indicates a failed element.
  • Check terminals: Ensure the terminals are tight and not oxidized. Replace any damaged spade connectors.
  • Rear cut-out: Some models have a rear thermal cut-out. Test for continuity and replace if open.
  • Control board: If the element and cut-out are good but no voltage is present in fan-heat mode, the control board relay may be defective and should be replaced.
