Possible Causes
Blown thermal fuse on the cavity, Open overheat sensor, Poor airflow around the oven, Shorted wiring bypassing the sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from the mains supply and allow it to cool.
- Locate thermal fuse: On many Bauknecht ovens, a one-shot thermal fuse is mounted on the top or rear of the cavity.
- Continuity test: Disconnect one lead and test the fuse with a multimeter. No continuity means it has blown and must be replaced.
- Investigate cause: Before replacing, check that the cooling fan works and that ventilation openings are not blocked. A blown fuse often indicates overheating.
- Replace fuse: Install a new thermal fuse with the same temperature rating and mounting style. Do not bypass the fuse.
