Possible Causes
Defective oven temperature sensor, shorted sensor wiring, a failed EOC temperature circuit, or a poor sensor connection at the control board.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If the oven is overheating, shut off power at the breaker immediately.
- Check sensor resistance: With the power off, remove the oven temperature sensor and measure its resistance at room temperature (~1050–1100 Ω). If the reading is far off or unstable, replace the sensor.
- Inspect wiring: Follow the sensor wires to the EOC. Look for pinched, burnt, or shorted wires. Repair or replace damaged sections.
- Reseat connectors: Disconnect and reconnect the sensor plug at the EOC to ensure a solid connection.
- Replace EOC if needed: If the sensor and wiring are good but F10 persists, the EOC may be misreading the temperature. Replace the EOC.
- Test bake cycle: After the repair, run a bake cycle and verify that the oven heats to the set temperature without overshooting or triggering F10.
