Possible Causes
Liquid spill into the control panel, damaged touch membrane, a shorted keypad circuit, or a faulty EOC keypad interface.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before touching the control panel internals.
- Dry out moisture: If the error appeared after a spill or heavy cleaning, leave the power off and allow the control panel area to dry for several hours. Use a fan to speed up drying.
- Clean panel surface: Wipe the control panel with a dry cloth to remove any residue that may cause keys to stick.
- Inspect keypad ribbon: Remove the control panel and check the ribbon cable for corrosion or damage. Reseat it firmly.
- Replace keypad/control panel: If the keypad is integrated, replace the entire control panel assembly. If separate, replace the keypad membrane.
- Check EOC: If a new keypad does not resolve F11, replace the EOC.
