Possible Causes

Shorted oven temperature sensor, sensor wires shorted together, moisture in the sensor connector, or a failed EOC sensor circuit.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker.

  • Test sensor: Remove and measure the oven sensor's resistance. A very low reading (near 0 Ω) indicates a shorted sensor. Replace it if shorted.
  • Inspect wiring: Look for pinched or melted sensor wires touching each other or the chassis. Separate and insulate them or replace them as needed.
  • Dry connectors: If moisture is present at the connector, dry it thoroughly and apply dielectric grease if recommended.
  • Replace EOC: If the sensor and wiring are good, replace the EOC.
