Grill or bake element internal short, element sheath rupture, moisture inside element, loose connection arcing.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Immediately switch off power. Do not use the oven until inspected.
- Inspect elements: Look for a visible break, hole, or burn mark on the elements.
- Check terminals: From the rear, inspect element terminals and wiring for signs of arcing or burning. Replace any damaged connectors.
- Replace failed element: Fit a new genuine Hotpoint element of the same rating and shape.
- Test operation: After replacement, test the oven on a low setting first and monitor for normal operation.
