The display shows 'CF' or 'CLn FIL' as a reminder; the pump may continue running but indicates that a filter clean is required.

Safety first: Always turn off the pump before changing filter settings or opening the filter.

• Backwash sand filter: For AstralPool sand filters, move the multiport valve to BACKWASH, run until the sight glass is clear, then RINSE for 20–30 seconds before returning to FILTER.
• Clean cartridge filter: For cartridge models, open the filter housing, remove cartridges and hose them from top to bottom until water runs clear. Replace if pleats are damaged.
• Reset reminder: Follow the pump or controller manual to reset the 'CF' reminder after cleaning.
