Possible Causes
Partially failed bake element, Broil element not cycling for preheat assist, Incorrect power supply (only 120 V present), Failing EOC relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before testing elements or terminal block.
- Verify power supply: Have a qualified person check for 240 V across L1 and L2 at the range terminal block. If only 120 V is present, have an electrician correct the supply.
- Element inspection: Even if the bake element glows, it may be weak. Test resistance and compare to spec; replace if significantly higher than normal.
- Broil assist: Some Avanti models use the broil element to assist preheat. If broil never comes on, test the broil element and its relay on the EOC. Replace the broil element or EOC as needed.
