Oven displays F2 and may shut off during baking or broiling, often after preheat or long cooking cycles

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing rear panels or internal wiring. Surfaces may be hot; allow to cool fully.

• Check ventilation: Ensure the range has proper clearance per La Cornue installation specs. Remove any items blocking rear or front ventilation slots.
• Inspect oven temperature sensor: Locate the sensor probe inside the oven (usually rear wall, upper corner). With power OFF, remove the mounting screws and gently pull the sensor forward to access the connector. Test resistance with a multimeter: at room temperature (~20–25°C), it should read around 1080–1100 Ω. Replace if open, shorted, or far out of spec.
• Inspect wiring harness: Check the sensor harness from the probe to the EOC for pinched, burnt, or loose connections. Repair or replace damaged wiring.
• Control board evaluation: If the sensor tests good and wiring is intact, the bake/broil relay on the EOC may be sticking. Look for heat discoloration or burnt spots on the board. If found, replace the EOC.
• Recalibrate if needed: After repair, verify oven temperature with an accurate oven thermometer. If consistently off by more than 10–15°C, use the control's calibration function (if available on your La Cornue model) or have a technician calibrate.
