Possible Causes
Frozen water line in the refrigerator door, Clogged water filter, Faulty dispenser switch or microswitch, Failed water inlet valve channel for the dispenser
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Shut off the water supply and unplug the appliance before accessing the valve or door wiring.
- Check filter: Replace the LG water filter if it is old or suspected of being clogged.
- Test valve: Listen for a click at the back when pressing the dispenser lever. If it's silent, the valve coil or control board may be faulty.
- Frozen line: If the freezer is very cold, the line in the door may freeze. Raise the freezer temperature slightly and keep the doors closed for 24 hours to allow it to thaw.
- Door switch: Ensure the dispenser is not disabled by the child lock and that the door switch is functioning correctly.
