Possible Causes
Dustbin not fully inserted, dust or debris on the dustbin detection switch, a broken dustbin tab that actuates the switch, or a faulty dustbin sensor on the main board.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off the robot before removing the dustbin.
- Reinsert dustbin: Remove the dustbin completely and then firmly push it back into place until it clicks.
- Clean detection area: Inspect the area where the dustbin slides in. Look for a small mechanical switch or optical sensor. Clean it gently with a dry cloth or compressed air.
- Check dustbin tabs: Examine the plastic tabs or protrusions on the dustbin that trigger the sensor. If a tab is broken or worn, the sensor may not detect the bin.
- Test with another dustbin: If available, try a different compatible Dreame dustbin to see if the error clears.
- Internal check: If the sensor still does not detect the bin, inspect the dustbin sensor circuit on the main board for loose connectors or damage.
- Replacement: Replace the dustbin assembly if its tabs are broken, or the main control board if the sensor circuit has failed.
