Possible Causes

Weak Wi-Fi signal at the thermostat, Router channel congestion or interference, Router power-saving or band-steering issues, Outdated router firmware.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: No electrical work is required.

  • Check signal strength: Use your phone near the thermostat to check Wi-Fi bars. If low, move the router closer or install a Wi-Fi extender.
  • Router settings: Disable aggressive power-saving features and band steering that may push devices between 2.4 and 5 GHz. Ensure 2.4 GHz is enabled.
  • Change channel: Log into your router and set a less congested 2.4 GHz channel (1, 6, or 11) to reduce interference.
  • Update router firmware: Install the latest firmware from your router manufacturer.
  • Re-add network: Forget and re-add the Wi-Fi network on the thermostat via the Bosch app or device menu.
