Possible Causes
Weak Wi-Fi signal at thermostat location, router channel congestion, outdated router firmware
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No electrical work is required.
- Check signal strength: On the Lux thermostat or app, view Wi-Fi signal strength. If low, move the router closer or install a Wi-Fi extender.
- Change Wi-Fi channel: Log into your router and switch to a less congested 2.4 GHz channel (e.g., 1, 6, or 11).
- Update router firmware: Install the latest firmware for your router from the manufacturer.
- Assign static IP (optional): Reserve a static IP for the thermostat in your router's DHCP settings to reduce reconnection issues.
- Re-add device: Remove and re-add the thermostat in the Lux app if connectivity issues persist.
