The generator fails to start, and the controller displays E010 Start Failure after several crank attempts.

Safety first: Avoid repeated, prolonged crank attempts to prevent damage to the starter and battery. Allow the starter to cool between attempts.

• Listen and observe: Note whether the engine cranks but does not fire, or if it does not crank at all. This observation guides the diagnosis.
• If there is no crank:
  • Check battery voltage and connections.
  • Verify that the start relay in the control panel clicks when a start is commanded. Replace it if inoperative.
  • Test the starter solenoid for voltage during cranking. If voltage is present but the starter does not engage, replace the starter motor.
• If it cranks but does not start:
  • Confirm the fuel level and ensure that fuel isolation valves are open.
  • Bleed the fuel system at the filter and injector pump if air is suspected.
  • Check if the engine stop solenoid or fuel actuator is energizing during cranking.
  • Inspect the engine ECU fuses and power supply.
• Review active alarms: Other active shutdown alarms (e.g., low oil pressure, E-STOP) can inhibit starting. Clear root causes first.

If E010 persists after basic checks, a deeper engine diagnostic using OEM tools may be required.
