Possible Causes
Partially blocked pump filter, Partially blocked drain hose, Installation with drain hose too high, Weak drain pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and prepare towels for water spillage.
- Clean pump filter: Open the filter flap, drain residual water, and remove and clean the filter thoroughly.
- Flush drain hose: Disconnect the hose from the standpipe or sink trap and run water through it to clear any restriction.
- Check installation height: Ensure the drain hose is installed at the height specified in the AEG manual (typically 60–100 cm). Too high can cause poor draining.
If the problem persists, the drain pump may be weak and require replacement.
