Possible Causes
Broken or slipped drive belt, Worn motor brushes (on brushed motors), Faulty inverter motor, Loose motor connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer.
- Check belt: Remove the rear panel. Inspect the belt between the motor pulley and drum pulley. If broken or off, replace or refit the belt, ensuring correct alignment.
- Inspect motor brushes: On non-inverter AEG models, remove the motor and check carbon brushes. Replace if worn short.
- Check connectors: Ensure the motor plug is firmly seated.
If the belt and brushes are fine and the motor still does not run, further electrical diagnosis of the motor and control board is required.
