Possible Causes

Safety first: Unplug the washer.

Check belt: Remove the rear panel. Inspect the belt between the motor pulley and drum pulley. If broken or off, replace or refit the belt, ensuring correct alignment.
Inspect motor brushes: On non-inverter AEG models, remove the motor and check carbon brushes. Replace if worn short.
Check connectors: Ensure the motor plug is firmly seated.
