Frequent low-temperature washes, Excess detergent use, Residue in door seal folds, Blocked drain causing stagnant water
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before cleaning internal parts.
- Clean door seal: Pull back the folds of the rubber bellow and wipe thoroughly with a cloth and a mild bleach solution or dedicated washing machine cleaner.
- Run maintenance wash: Run an empty 90°C cotton cycle with a descaling/cleaning product suitable for AEG machines.
- Clean detergent drawer: Remove the drawer and scrub away mould and residue. Clean the housing as well.
- Leave door open: After each wash, leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open to allow drying and prevent mould growth.
