AEG washing machine has a strong musty or mouldy smell inside the drum and on clothes, no error code

Safety first: Unplug the washer before cleaning internal parts.

• Clean door seal: Pull back the folds of the rubber bellow and wipe thoroughly with a cloth and a mild bleach solution or dedicated washing machine cleaner.
• Run maintenance wash: Run an empty 90°C cotton cycle with a descaling/cleaning product suitable for AEG machines.
• Clean detergent drawer: Remove the drawer and scrub away mould and residue. Clean the housing as well.
• Leave door open: After each wash, leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open to allow drying and prevent mould growth.
