Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the AEG washer and close the water tap before working on hoses or valves.
- Check household water supply: Ensure the tap feeding the washer is fully open and that other taps in the house have normal pressure.
- Clean AEG inlet filters: Turn off water, unscrew the inlet hose from the rear of the machine. Inside the valve connection and sometimes inside the hose end there are small mesh filters. Gently pull them out with pliers, rinse under running water, and reinstall.
- Inspect Aqua Control / Aqua Stop hose (if fitted): If the hose has a large plastic safety box and feels unusually heavy or shows a red indicator, the internal safety valve may have tripped. Replace the complete Aqua Control hose assembly.
- Check for kinked or crushed hose: Make sure the inlet hose is not bent sharply behind the machine.
- Pressure switch and hose: Remove the top cover, locate the pressure switch and its thin rubber hose. Check the hose for blockages (blow through gently) and ensure it is not split or off its spigot.
If the machine still shows E10 after these checks, the water inlet valve or pressure switch may need replacement and a qualified technician is recommended.
