Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap before inspection.
- Verify tap and hose: Open the tap fully and disconnect the hose from the machine. Place the hose end in a bucket and briefly open the tap to confirm strong water flow.
- Check inlet valve electrical connection: Remove the top cover, locate the inlet valve at the back. Ensure the wiring connector is firmly seated and not burnt or corroded.
- Test valve coil (for advanced users): With power disconnected, remove the connectors and measure coil resistance with a multimeter. An open circuit (infinite resistance) indicates a failed valve that must be replaced.
- Inspect harness: Trace the wiring from the valve to the main control board for cuts, pinches, or loose plugs.
If water supply is good and the valve coil is open or not being energized, replace the AEG water inlet valve assembly or have the control board tested by a professional.
