Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and turn off water supply. Be prepared for water when tilting the machine.
- Drain and dry base: Carefully tilt the machine slightly backward and to one side to allow water to run out of the base tray (use towels). Remove the bottom panel if accessible and dry thoroughly.
- Locate leak source: With the panels off, run a short fill cycle while observing the tub, hoses, pump, and dispenser for drips. Stop immediately if a leak is seen.
- Check detergent use: Excessive detergent can cause foam overflow through the vent. Use only HE detergent and the amount recommended by AEG.
- Repair or replace leaking parts: Tighten hose clamps, replace cracked hoses, or replace a leaking door seal or pump as needed.
Once the leak is fixed and the base is dry, the E30 error should clear. Persistent E30 with a dry base may indicate a faulty float switch or wiring.
