Possible Causes
Faulty motor tachometer coil, Loose tachometer connector, Broken tachometer magnet, Wiring fault between tachometer and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power.
- Access tachometer: Remove the motor. On the rear of the motor shaft is the tachometer assembly.
- Check connection: Ensure the small tachometer plug is secure and wires are intact.
- Test tach coil: Measure resistance across the tachometer terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed tach coil.
Replace the motor tachometer or complete AEG motor if faulty. If tach tests good, the control board may be at fault.
