Possible Causes
Partially blocked drain pump, Obstructed sump hose from tub to pump, Drain hose installed too high or air-locked, Weak drain pump motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the washer and prepare for water spillage.
- Clean pump filter: Open the lower front flap, remove and clean the pump filter thoroughly.
- Check sump hose: From underneath or via rear access, inspect the large black hose from the tub to the pump. Remove the clamp and check for socks, coins, or debris. Refit securely.
- Verify drain hose height: Ensure the drain hose is not inserted too far into the standpipe and that its height matches Candy's installation instructions (usually around 65–100 cm).
- Test pump performance: Run a drain-only program with the hose into a bucket and observe flow. Weak or intermittent flow suggests a failing pump that should be replaced.
