Possible Causes
Failed door lock solenoid, Jammed door latch mechanism, Broken handle or cable, PCB not sending unlock signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer. Do not force the door open with tools, as this can damage the tub or glass.
- Wait a few minutes: Some Haier models delay unlocking after spin. Wait 2–5 minutes to see if the lock releases.
- Check for water in drum: If water remains, drain using the emergency drain hose or pump filter. The door will not unlock if the water level is too high.
- Use emergency release (if equipped): Many Haier front-loaders have a manual door release cable near the pump filter. Pull gently to unlock the door.
- Inspect door lock: Once open and unplugged, remove the front panel trim and access the door lock assembly. Check for broken plastic parts or burnt connectors. Replace the door lock assembly if defective.
- If lock is good but E11 persists: The main PCB may not be driving the lock circuit correctly and may require professional diagnosis.
