Possible Causes
Severely unbalanced laundry load, Worn suspension dampers, Faulty imbalance sensor (if fitted), Excessive shock absorber play
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Keep hands clear of the drum while the machine is powered.
- Redistribute load: Open the door (if water is drained and door is unlocked) and separate heavy items such as towels or duvets. Mix large and small items and restart the spin cycle.
- Check machine level: Ensure the washer is level front-to-back and side-to-side. Adjust the front feet and lock the nuts to prevent movement.
- Inspect suspension: With the machine unplugged, press down on the drum from inside and release. It should bounce once or twice and settle. Excessive bouncing indicates worn dampers.
- Replace dampers if needed: Access the shock absorbers from the rear or bottom. Support the tub, remove the mounting pins/bolts, and install new Neff-compatible dampers in pairs.
- Test spin: Run an empty spin cycle to confirm the machine reaches full speed without E08.
