How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Keep clear of a violently moving machine; unplug it before inspection.

Check installation: Ensure all transport bolts have been removed from the rear of a newly installed washer.
Level the machine: Adjust the feet so the washer is stable and does not rock. Tighten lock nuts.
Inspect suspension: Remove the top and rear panels. Check that all suspension springs are intact and that the dampers are firmly attached and not leaking oil.
Replace dampers/springs: If worn or broken, replace in pairs with Neff-compatible parts.
Load correctly: Avoid overloading and ensure mixed loads to reduce imbalance.

Washer makes loud banging or knocking noises during spin; machine may move across the floor.
