Possible Causes
Child lock function engaged, Stuck or faulty keypad buttons, Faulty user interface board, Software glitch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal work is required initially; keep the machine plugged only for control checks.
- Step 1 – Disable child lock: Refer to the user manual for the specific key combination (often pressing and holding two buttons for several seconds). Try to deactivate the lock and see if E15 clears.
- Step 2 – Check buttons: Press each button individually and observe if they respond on the display. A stuck button can cause the control to misinterpret inputs. Gently clean around the buttons with a slightly damp cloth (power off).
- Step 3 – Power cycle: Unplug the washer for 5 minutes, then reconnect and test again.
- Step 4 – UI board inspection: If the lock cannot be cleared and buttons do not respond correctly, remove the control panel and inspect the user interface board for damage. Replacement may be necessary.
