Possible Causes
Incorrect temperature setting, Stuck relay on main control board, Shorted temperature sensor reading too warm, Faulty control board not cycling compressor off
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Use caution when working near live controls; unplug the unit if removing covers.
- Check set temperature: Verify the setpoint on the control panel. Adjust to a higher (warmer) temperature and wait several hours to see if the unit stabilizes.
- Sensor check: If the displayed temperature seems inaccurate, inspect the cabinet temperature sensor for proper placement and damage. A sensor reading too warm can cause overcooling.
- Power reset: Unplug the cooler for 5 minutes, then plug it back in to reset the control board.
- Observe compressor cycling: If the compressor runs continuously even when the set temperature is reached, the main control board relay may be stuck closed and should be replaced.
- Replace faulty sensor or board: If the sensor tests bad, replace it. If the sensor is good and the compressor never cycles off, replace the main control board.
