Cordless vacuum will not power on; battery LEDs remain off even when pressing the power trigger.

Safety first: Turn the vacuum OFF, remove the battery pack (if removable), and disconnect the charger from the wall before any inspection.

• Check battery seating: Remove the battery pack and reinstall it firmly until it clicks. Inspect the battery contacts on both the pack and the vacuum body for dust or oxidation; clean gently with a dry cloth.
• Try a full reset charge: Place the battery on the original Rowenta charger. Allow it to charge uninterrupted for at least 3–4 hours, even if LEDs do not light immediately. Some protection circuits reset after a stable charge period.
• Inspect the trigger switch: While the battery is removed, press the trigger several times to ensure it is not physically stuck. Check for debris around the trigger area and clean with a soft brush.
• Test with another outlet/charger: Plug the charger into a different wall outlet. If available, test with a known‑good Rowenta charger compatible with your model to rule out a charger fault.
• Check for harness damage: On models with removable battery handles, inspect the wiring harness between the battery compartment and the motor housing for visible cuts, pinches, or loose connectors.
• If still dead: If the vacuum remains completely unresponsive, the battery pack or internal power board is likely defective. Do not attempt to open the battery pack; contact a service center or replace the battery with a genuine Rowenta pack.
