COOL
Display shows COOL, and the heater is disabled until the water warms slightly.
Water Temperature Below Safe Heating Threshold
dr
The display shows dr or DR, and the heater shuts off; the spa may not reach the set temperature.
Dry Heater or Low Water in Heater Tube
dy
The display shows dy or DRY, and the spa shuts down the heater shortly after startup.
Confirmed Dry Heater Condition
FLC
The display shows FLC or FLOC, and the spa may heat erratically or shut down.
Flow Switch Closed When It Should Be Open
FLO
The display shows FLO or FL, and the heater will not run; heating may sometimes be intermittent.
Flow Switch Open (Insufficient Water Flow)
HFL
Display shows HFL, and the spa may shut down the heater intermittently.
Heater Flow Low Detected During Heating

The display shows HL or OH, and the spa shuts down circulation and heater; water may be very hot near the heater.
High Limit Overheat Trip
ICE
Display shows ICE or IC, and the spa automatically runs pumps to prevent freezing.
Freeze Protection Mode Active
LF
Display shows LF (Low Flow), and the spa will not heat properly.
Sustained Low Flow Through Heater
LOC
Display shows LOC or LOCK, and buttons on the topside control are unresponsive.
Panel Lock or Child Lock Activated

Display shows LOC2 or PL2, and only limited functions are available.
Partial or Settings Lock Mode
OH
The control panel displays OH (overheat), and the spa shuts down; water temperature is above the set point, often over 108°F.
