Safety: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool. Some components near the control panel may still be hot.

Check airflow and fan:

Inspect the front and rear ventilation openings for grease, dust, or obstructions. Clean thoroughly to restore airflow.
Access the cooling fan (usually above the oven cavity, behind the control panel or rear cover). Verify that the fan blades spin freely.
With power restored briefly and with caution, start a bake cycle and confirm whether the cooling fan receives power and runs. If it hums or does not start, replace the cooling fan motor.
Check any thermal switch or sensor mounted near the control area for proper operation (continuity when hot, open when cool, depending on design). Replace if stuck or out of spec.
If the fan and sensor are good but F08 persists, the EOC may be misinterpreting the temperature and should be replaced.

Viking oven displays F08; the cooling fan runs continuously, or the oven shuts down due to overheating in the control area.
