Possible Causes

Empty hopper, pellet bridge preventing feed, auger jam, faulty pellet level sensor (on equipped models).

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn the grill off and allow it to cool before reaching into the hopper.

  • Step 1 – Refill hopper: Add dry, high-quality pellets to at least half the hopper capacity.
  • Step 2 – Break pellet bridge: Use a wooden spoon or gloved hand to stir pellets in the hopper and break up any pellet bridge that may be preventing pellets from dropping into the auger intake.
  • Step 3 – Check for auger jam: If pellets remain in the hopper but are not feeding, empty the hopper and inspect the auger intake for compacted pellets. Clear any jam and vacuum out dust.
  • Step 4 – Sensor check (if equipped): Some models have a pellet level sensor. Inspect the sensor wiring and mounting. If the sensor is faulty, it may falsely trigger 'NO PELLET' even when full and may need replacement.
  • Step 5 – Restart grill: After clearing jams and refilling, follow the startup procedure to re-prime the auger and resume cooking.
