Possible Causes
A weak Wi-Fi signal at the grill's location, the Wi-Fi module not being seated on the control board, incorrect network credentials, or firmware incompatibility.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: For network troubleshooting, the grill can remain plugged in, but ensure it is not actively cooking while you work around the control panel.
Steps:
- Check Signal Strength: Verify your router is within range of the grill. Move the router closer or use a Wi-Fi extender if the signal is weak.
- Power Cycle: Turn the grill off, unplug it for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on to reset the Wi-Fi module.
- Verify Module Connection: If accessible, remove the control panel and ensure the Wi-Fi module is firmly seated on the control board header.
- Re-pair with App: Follow Napoleon’s app instructions to forget and re-add the grill, entering the correct SSID and password.
- Firmware: Update the app and grill firmware if updates are available.
