Grease drain channel clogged, Drip tray not properly sloped, Grease bucket missing or overfilled, Excessive grease buildup on diffuser
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the grill to cool completely before cleaning grease. Wear gloves and eye protection.
- Inspect drip tray and diffuser: Remove grates and check that the drip tray and diffuser are correctly installed and sloped toward the grease drain.
- Clean grease channels: Scrape and wipe grease from the drip tray, drain channel, and drain opening. Use a flexible brush to clear the drain tube if present.
- Check grease bucket: Ensure the grease bucket is installed, not overfilled, and properly aligned with the drain spout.
- Regular maintenance: After heavy cooks, remove excess grease from internal surfaces to prevent overflow and potential fires.
