Possible Causes
Dirty front IR receiver window, dock IR emitter blocked, dock placed in a poor location, IR receiver board failure in the robot.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the robot and unplug the dock before moving it.
- Clean IR windows: Wipe the front sensor window on the robot and the IR window on the dock with a soft, dry cloth.
- Reposition dock: Place the dock against a flat wall with at least 1 m (3 ft) of clear space in front and 0.5 m (1.5 ft) on each side. Avoid direct sunlight on the dock.
- Test docking: Plug the dock back in, place the robot 1–2 m in front of it, and press the Home/Dock button.
- If E15 persists: The Docking IR Receiver Board or the dock's IR emitter may be faulty. Replace the dock first; if the issue remains, replace the robot's docking sensor board.
