American Standard

The thermostat's Wi-Fi connection drops frequently, or the app cannot reliably control the thermostat.

Possible Causes
Weak Wi-Fi signal at the thermostat, Router channel congestion, Outdated router firmware, Thermostat Wi-Fi module instability
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No electrical panel work is needed.
- Check signal strength: On the thermostat, view the Wi-Fi signal strength. If low, move the router closer or add a Wi-Fi extender.
- Change Wi-Fi channel: Log into your router and change to a less congested 2.4 GHz channel (1, 6, or 11).
- Static IP (optional): Assign a static IP to the thermostat in your router's DHCP settings to reduce connection drops.
- Firmware updates: Update both the router and thermostat firmware to the latest versions.
Note: If only the thermostat has issues while other devices are stable, the thermostat's Wi-Fi module may be failing.
