Visible coolant puddles under the generator or a sweet smell around the SDMO enclosure; the coolant level is dropping over time.

Safety first: Allow the engine to cool before inspecting the cooling system. Coolant can be hot and under pressure.

• Locate leak source: Follow coolant trails from the puddle back to hoses, radiator, or the water pump. Use a flashlight to inspect hidden areas.
• Tighten or replace clamps: Gently tighten hose clamps. Replace any that are rusted or stripped.
• Replace damaged hoses: Fit new coolant hoses of the correct diameter and temperature rating for SDMO engines.
• Inspect radiator and pump: Look for wetness around the radiator core and the water pump weep hole. Replace components if leaking.
• Refill and bleed: Refill with the correct coolant mix, bleed air, and run the generator while monitoring for further leaks.
