F01
Washer-dryer will not start; the display shows F01 and the Start/Pause button flashes.
Motor triac short circuit on main control board
F02
The drum does not rotate or rotates weakly; F02 is displayed shortly after the cycle starts.
Motor tachometer circuit fault
F03
Washer-dryer stops mid-cycle, may not heat water; F03 is displayed.
NTC temperature sensor circuit fault
F04
Washer-dryer attempts to fill but then stops and shows F04; it may also show water in the drum when off.
Pressure switch stuck on full / overfill detected
F05
Washer-dryer will not drain; water remains in the drum, and F05 is displayed.
Drain pump or pressure switch fault
F06
The door will not lock or unlock; F06 is displayed, and the cycle will not start.
Door lock (interlock) circuit fault
F07
The washer-dryer does not heat water; it may stop mid-cycle with F07 displayed.
Heater relay stuck or heating circuit fault
F08
The machine fills and may tumble but does not heat; an F08 error appears.
Heater relay or heating circuit stuck on/off
F09
The washer-dryer behaves erratically, shows random lights, and will not start properly; F09 is displayed.
EEPROM or software configuration error
F10
The machine will not fill or drain correctly; F10 is displayed.
Pressure switch not sensing level change
F11
The washer-dryer will not drain; F11 is displayed, and the pump may be silent.
Drain pump circuit open or short
F12
No communication between the display panel and the main board; F12 is displayed, and controls are unresponsive.
Communication error between user interface and main control board
F13
The dryer function does not start or stops quickly; F13 is displayed.
Dryer temperature sensor or heater fault
F14
The dryer cycle runs, but clothes remain cold and wet; F14 is displayed.
Dryer heater circuit fault
F15
Dryer function locked out; F15 is displayed, sometimes after overheating.
Dryer heater relay or control fault
F16
On some Hotpoint washer-dryer models with vertical drum, F16 indicates a drum lock or position error; the drum may not rotate.
Drum position sensor or lock fault (top-loader style combos only)
F17
Door lock timeout; the machine attempts to lock but fails and shows F17.
Door lock timeout / door not closed
F18
The display shows F18; the machine may freeze mid-cycle or not respond to commands.
Serial communication error between main control and display
F19
On some Hotpoint washer-dryers, F19 indicates a fan or dryer motor fault; the dryer may not run.
Dryer fan motor or blower fault
F20
Heater safety or unexpected heating detected; F20 is displayed.
Heater safety circuit / unexpected temperature rise
H20
H20 is displayed; the machine does not fill or fills very slowly.
Water inlet timeout / low water pressure

Control knob or buttons unresponsive, but display is lit.
