Possible Causes
Failed drain pump motor, loose or broken pump wiring, faulty control board pump driver, burnt pump connector.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer and prepare for water spillage.
F11 is a pump circuit error distinct from simple blockages.
- Check the pump filter first: Open the pump filter and remove debris as described for F05. If the pump is clear but still not running, continue.
- Access the pump wiring: Remove the rear or bottom panel to reach the pump. Inspect the electrical connector for burning or looseness. Reseat firmly.
- Test the pump coil: With the machine unplugged, disconnect the pump and measure resistance across the terminals. If it reads open circuit (infinite resistance), the pump is faulty and must be replaced.
- Check the harness to the control board: Trace the pump wires to the main PCB. Look for breaks, crushed sections, or loose plugs. Repair as needed.
- Control board: If the pump and wiring are good but F11 persists and the pump never energizes, the pump driver on the control board may be faulty, requiring board replacement.
- Reassemble and test the unit: After replacing the pump or repairing wiring, run a drain or spin program to confirm operation.
