Possible Causes
Leak from tub seal or bearing area, Leaking inlet valve or hoses, Loose pump or sump hose clamps, Cracked detergent dispenser or tub
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water tap immediately to prevent further leakage. Be cautious of water on the floor causing slip hazards.
- Step 1 – Tilt and drain base: Carefully tilt the washer slightly backward (with assistance) to allow water in the base tray to move away from the float switch. Some models have a removable base panel; if so, remove and sponge out water.
- Step 2 – Identify leak source: Remove the front lower panel or rear panel. Use a flashlight to inspect around the pump, sump hose, tub-to-pump hose, inlet valve, and dispenser housing. Look for water trails, mineral deposits, or damp insulation.
- Step 3 – Tighten and reseat hoses: Check all hose clamps for tightness. Reseat hoses that appear loose and replace any that are cracked or swollen.
- Step 4 – Check door seal: Inspect the door gasket for tears or holes, especially at the bottom. Replace the gasket if damaged.
- Step 5 – Test after drying: Once the base is dry and suspected leaks are corrected, run a short wash while observing the machine. If leaks persist or originate from the tub seam or bearing area, professional service is recommended.
