Thermostat frequently disconnects from Wi-Fi or shows offline in the Gosund app

• Step 1 – Check signal strength:
  • In the thermostat Wi-Fi settings, check the signal level; if low, move the router closer or add a 2.4GHz extender.
• Step 2 – Optimize router settings:
  • Set the 2.4GHz channel to 1, 6, or 11 to reduce interference.
  • Disable band steering or Smart Connect that forces 5GHz.
• Step 3 – Ensure stable power:
  • Verify a solid C-wire connection and no frequent power cycling of the HVAC system.
• Step 4 – Firmware update:
  • Update thermostat firmware via the Gosund app.
• Step 5 – Replace thermostat if Wi-Fi module is unstable:
  • If dropouts persist with a strong signal and stable power, the Wi-Fi module on the main PCB may be failing; replace the thermostat.
