Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer. If there is water inside, drain it via the drain filter before tilting or opening panels.
- Check door alignment: Inspect the door hinges and latch. Tighten loose screws and ensure the door closes flush with the front panel.
- Try power reset: Leave the washer unplugged for 5–10 minutes, then plug back in and attempt to start a cycle. Sometimes the lock resets.
- Inspect door lock assembly: Remove the front door seal clamp and gently pull back the gasket to access the lock. Check for burnt smell, cracked housing, or loose connectors. Reseat the wiring plug.
- Replace door lock if faulty: If the lock coil is open-circuit or physically damaged, replace it with a Dawlance-compatible door lock assembly.
If E11 persists after replacing the lock, the control board may not be sending the lock signal correctly and should be tested by a Dawlance technician.
