How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer. Prepare for water spillage when opening the pump filter.
- Open and clean pump filter: Access the filter behind the lower front flap. Slowly unscrew and remove the filter, draining water into a tray. Remove all debris and check that the impeller turns freely.
- Check for foreign objects: Use a flashlight to look deeper into the pump housing for socks, hairpins, or other items. Carefully remove them with pliers.
- Inspect drain hose and standpipe: Detach the hose from the rear and from the drain connection. Flush with water to ensure it is clear. Replace if the hose is internally collapsed.
- Replace pump if weak: If the pump runs but cannot evacuate water effectively even with a clear system, replace the drain pump assembly.
