Possible Causes
Broken or slipped drive belt, Faulty motor, Defective motor triac/relay on control board, Loose motor connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the washer. The drum and motor can move suddenly.
- Check belt: Remove the rear panel and inspect the drive belt between the motor and drum pulley. If off or broken, replace with the correct size Neff belt.
- Inspect motor connector: Ensure the motor plug is fully seated and free of corrosion.
- Test motor: With the belt removed, spin the motor pulley by hand; it should turn smoothly. Electrical testing of the motor windings should be done with a multimeter and, if unsure, by a professional.
- Control board: If the motor and belt are sound but the drum never turns, the motor control circuit on the main PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
