Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch the vacuum OFF and remove the battery pack before clearing any blockages or opening covers.
- Step 1 – Inspect floor nozzle: Detach the motorized floor head from the wand. Look through the suction opening and side channels. Remove hair, threads, and debris using scissors and tweezers. Ensure the brush roll can spin freely by hand.
- Step 2 – Check wand and hose: Remove the metal extension tube and any flexible hose. Look through them against a light source. Push out any clogs with a long, blunt object (such as a wooden dowel). Do not use sharp tools that could puncture the tube.
- Step 3 – Empty dust container: Remove the dust bin and empty it completely. Tap gently to dislodge compacted dust from the cyclone shroud.
- Step 4 – Clean pre-motor filter: Take out the pre-motor filter (usually foam or fabric). Tap it gently over a trash can. If the manual allows, rinse it under lukewarm water until clear, then let it dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstalling. Never run the vacuum with a wet filter.
- Step 5 – Inspect cyclone assembly: Check the perforated metal or plastic cyclone screen for fine dust buildup. Brush it clean with a soft brush.
- Step 6 – Test motor: Reassemble the vacuum without the floor nozzle (use just the main body and short nozzle). Install the battery and briefly test. If E2 still appears and the motor stops quickly with all airways clear, the main DC motor or control PCB may be failing.
If the error persists after all blockages are cleared and filters are clean and dry, contact a service technician to test and possibly replace the main motor assembly or main control PCB.
