• Step 1 – Check signal strength: Use a smartphone near the charger to verify Wi-Fi signal quality. If weak, move the router closer or install a Wi-Fi extender.
• Step 2 – Re-enter credentials: Using the Alfen app or local interface, reconfigure the Wi-Fi SSID and password carefully, respecting case sensitivity.
• Step 3 – Router settings: Ensure the router is not blocking new devices (MAC filtering) and that the 2.4 GHz band is enabled if required by the charger.
• Step 4 – Internal antenna check: With power OFF, open the charger and locate the Wi-Fi module and antenna lead. Confirm the antenna connector is firmly attached.
• Step 5 – Firmware update: If possible, temporarily connect via Ethernet and update firmware, as some Wi-Fi issues are resolved in newer software.
