Possible Causes

An incorrect time zone in the app, loss of internet preventing NTP sync, a faulty real-time clock (RTC) on the main board, or a dead RTC backup battery (if used).

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Note: This affects scheduled charging and reporting, not basic charging.

  • Step 1 – Verify time settings:
    • Open the ChargePoint app and confirm your time zone and schedule settings.
  • Step 2 – Restore connectivity:
    • Ensure the charger is online via Wi-Fi or cellular so it can sync time.
  • Step 3 – Disable and re-enable schedules:
    • Turn off scheduled charging in the app, then re-enable and reconfigure it.
  • Step 4 – Power cycle:
    • Turn off the breaker for 1 minute, then turn it back on.
    • Allow the charger to reconnect and sync time.
  • Step 5 – Hardware RTC fault:
    • If time drifts significantly whenever power is lost, the RTC circuit on the main board may be defective.
    • Replace the main control board if accurate timekeeping is required.
